ABORTION NO LONGER THE LAW OF THE LAND

Washington — Today, the Supreme Court of the United States released its decision on Dobbs v. Jackson: abortion is no longer protected under the US constitution This decision has overruled Roe v. Wade and Casey v. Planned Parenthood– two cases that have resulted in the deaths of over 63 million innocent lives from abortion including LGBT+ and latent discrimination against the unborn due to anomalies.

 

This is a momentous achievement for human rights, and we are moved to continue to build a post-Roe America where we advocate for a society where all children are welcomed and provided for so that no one feels obligated to abort because of poverty and difficult life circumstances. The targeted exploitation of marginalized persons must end, and it begins with us and our communities.

 

While this is surely a moment to celebrate, our work does not end here. This decision returns the question of abortion back to the American people and their elected officials. It is essential that we continue to bring resources, aid, and education to our communities and to keep working to build a nation where life is truly valued, regardless of level of development, identity, or otherwise.

 

As we look to building a future where all life is protected and valued, one thing remains clear: “Roe was egregiously wrong from the start.”
